Funded PLaces

Hocus Pocus Nursery Bolton

Funded places at Hocus Pocus Day Nursery Bolton

At Hocus Pocus Day Nursery we offer Funded Places to 2, 3 and 4 year olds, providing your child is eligible. We can advise on how to claim and recommend your best options. Some parents choose to do “Stretched Funding”. This allows a child to be in Nursery all year round (rather than Term Time only) with a weekly payment calculated to cover the additional school holiday period, which is not covered by Government Grant Funding. We do charge for meals and consumables, but try to keep the costs down, whilst providing home cooked delicious meals, you can of course choose to send your child in with a packed lunch.

15 Hours of Free Early Education for 2-Year-Olds:

Some families in England are eligible for 15 hours of free early education and childcare for their 2-year-old children. This is targeted at families who meet specific criteria, such as low income or if the child has special educational needs.

15 or 30 Hours of Free Early Education for 3 and 4 Year-Olds:

All 3- and 4-year-olds in England are entitled to receive 15 hours of free early education per week for 38 weeks of the year. In addition to this universal entitlement, some working parents may be eligible for an extended entitlement of 30 hours of free childcare per week.

To be eligible for the 30 hours, parents must meet certain criteria, including:

  • Both parents (or the sole parent in a single-parent family) must be working and earning a certain amount per week.
  • Each parent must earn at least the equivalent of 16 hours per week at the national minimum or living wage.

It’s important for parents to check their eligibility and apply for the extended entitlement through the government’s childcare service.

Remember , you will only be eligible for the term after your child’s 3rd birthday.
If you already received the 30 hours, please don’t forget you need to re-check your eligibility every 3 months.
